Summary of Feedback Recieved

The feedback received from the anonymous survey/feedback form was overwhelmingly positive in the majority of the areas that participants were asked about.

In regard to the artwork and the colour scheme used in Triple Slime, the vast majority of participants strongly agreed that the colour scheme was appropriate and the artwork suited the game, but this decreased to an even split between agree and neither agree or disagree when asked if the design caught their attention indicating that the design either didn’t stand out enough or wasn’t to the liking of some participants. All participants were able to easily distinguish between the different slimes/tiles in the game.

The majority of participants agreed that the game made them feel like continuing playing. The remaining participants were split between being indifferent and strongly agreeing.

All participants found the user interface easy to understand and knew what each button or each text field was designed to do. But some people found that the font used and/or the colour scheme used for the font was a little difficult to read, however the majority of people did not have a problem with this and agreed that it was easy to read and understand.

The majority of participants said that the game was not uninteresting or boring with only a few agreeing with this statement, however later on in the written feedback some of the participants indicated that they do not like these types of games. However, it was expected that not everyone would find these types of games interesting.

All the participants agreed or strongly agreed that the game was completed to an appropriate standard for a prototype game.

To summarize what the participants said that they liked about the game, they liked the simple and easy design of the game and it that worked perfectly as a time filler, as well as the implementation of the pop sounds and the artwork used in the game.

When asked what participants did not like about the game, they responded that it is limited in terms of gameplay with that there is only one game mode, the colour scheme is too bright and more likely aimed at a younger audience, new tiles area added to fast and that there are not any powerups/bonuses for matching multiple tiles.

The idea in the future is to have different game modes that have different end goals (work already in progress) and to add powerups and bonuses for getting multiple matches.

Improvements that were recommended to be made to the game included having multiple game modes, bonuses for matches greater than 3, powerups, some background music and some buttons in each level that can be used to go back to main menu halfway through a game or restart a level.

When participants were asked if they found any bugs in game, the majority did not come across any but the ones that did find one all came across the same bug which occurs when players click and drag the same tile in quick succession causing gaps to appear in the gameboard. This is a known issue and is currently being worked on to prevent this occurring.

Any other feedback the participants left were all positive and encouraging to keep up the good work.
